Walking itinerary: Holiday home Le Fornaci – Vitereta – Sasso Matto – Il Borro – return

This circular route is an immersive journey through nature, history and tradition, taking you to discover some of the hidden gems of the Tuscan countryside.

Departure: Le Fornaci Holiday Home
The journey begins from the comfort of your base, a perfect place to venture among the surrounding wonders.

First stop: Vitereta
The first stop is the village of Vitereta, a quiet corner where life flows slowly. Among fields of vines and olive trees, Vitereta welcomes visitors with its rustic and authentic charm. The stone houses and views framed by the Tuscan hills will make you feel immersed in a living painting.

Second stop: Sasso Matto
Continuing to Sasso Matto, the landscape changes to a wilder natural setting, where rock formations and lush vegetation offer a spectacular contrast. Here you can stop for a rejuvenating break.

Third stop: Il Borro
The next destination is the historic village of Il Borro, a beautifully restored medieval jewel. Stroll through its cobblestone streets, discover artisan workshops and admire the picturesque views that tell centuries of history. If you have time, make a stop to enjoy a glass of local wine or a typical product of the region.

Return: Casa Vacanze Le Fornaci
With the heart and mind enriched by the experience, the journey concludes by returning to Casa Vacanze Le Fornaci, strolling through vineyards and riding stables.

It is recommended to bring hiking shoes and water.

Long trail, almost 13km, not difficult but do not underestimate the length.
