Giambardino was Mattacchione’s brother and they used to work always close to each other. That’s the reason why those apartments are identical and contiguous.

Maghino was a worker with an exuberant appearance: he used to have a long beard and to wear bright coloured clothes, but the origins of his nickname come from his ability playing cards.

Roggiola was a worker with an olive skin and a very wrinkled face, so much so as to reconsider the “mela roggiola”, a kind of apple typical of Tuscany.

Varisio was a worker with a very strong sense of humor and a passion for jokes.
His name comes from the mispronunciation of a well know comedian of the first years of the ‘900.
