Varisio was a worker with a very strong sense of humor and a passion for jokes. His name comes from the mispronunciation of a well know comedian of the first years of the ‘900.
As the saying goes, in small barrels there is good wine: Catola was a minute and very thin worker, but he was a sensational artist and created decorations and vases that you can still admire in the apartment.
In despite of the literal translation of the name (meaning zany person), the nickname of Mattacchione comes a specific kind of bricks of big dimensions that this worker was very able to make thanks to his very big hands.
Grillo was a thin and slender worker.His passion was dancing: at every country festival and every time someone was playing music, he was the first one to start twisting, dancing and jumping, just like a cricket (grillo in italian).
